Agape Hood Coffee
At Agape Hood, we believe the Church should be present in the community, not only with words but with tangible acts of love. One of our favorite ways to do that is cold brew coffee. Why cold brew? We live in Texas. If you have been here in the summer, you know why.
Every cup is an invitation to experience the love of Christ in simple, beautiful ways.
Cold brew is not iced coffee
Cold brew is crafted with patience, care, and a little chemistry.
Iced coffee is brewed hot and then cooled down, and the result is often bitter or watered down. Cold brew is made by steeping coarse, freshly ground beans in cold water for 18 to 24 hours. The result is a smooth, rich, naturally sweeter coffee that is low in acidity and high in flavor. There is no heat and no rush.
We brew ours in a ten-gallon commercial system. We grind the beans fresh and let the process unfold slowly over a full day. That slow method draws out the chocolatey, nutty, and mellow notes that make cold brew an experience and not just a drink.
Why we do it
Cold brew is more than a beverage for us. It is a bridge to our community.
We use it to bless our congregation and to show up generously at local events, markets, and neighborhood gatherings. When people are sweating in the Texas heat, there is something almost sacred about being handed a cold brew with a smile. This is not about building our brand. It is about building relationships.
Jesus turned water into wine to celebrate a wedding. We brew really good coffee to say that you are loved, you are seen, and it is on us. We tag every cup with #itsonusbecauseHeLovesYou because each one is an invitation to experience the love of Christ in simple, beautiful ways.
John 2:1–11
Come sip and see
The cold brew is strong, the love is real, and you are always welcome.
Whether you are part of our Sunday crew or you run into us at a community event, grab a glass and stay a while. We would love to talk about life and faith, and we might pour you a second cup. You might get the shakes, though.
